A bouncer is a short ball that pitches well short of the batter and rises towards the head or chest. Umpires limit the number of bouncers an over can contain in many formats, so the scorer may need to track them.

It is recorded like any other delivery. Check the playing conditions for any limit on bouncers.

Questions scorers actually ask

01 Is there a limit on bouncers?
Some competitions limit them per over. Check the playing conditions.
02 Is a bouncer a no-ball?
Not by itself. It is a no-ball only if the bowler oversteps or the action is illegal.
